Effective Ways to Relieve Stress and Anxiety

Anxiety, panic, stress and fear are physical and mental states that drain all your life energy and leave you in a state of exhaustion and perpetual exhaustion. Regardless of the severity of the stress, it prevents you from falling asleep and reduces the quality of your sleep, creating a vicious cycle.

Root causes of stress and anxiety
Stress and anxiety tend to make us fearful in situations where there is no real danger. Fighting fear to protect us from it only makes our fear worse. In addition, negative expectations can promote and cause stress or anxiety problems. When the stressful event disappears, so does the fear.

Ways to address stress and anxiety
Attitude Change Approach: this approach looks at the problem from a psychological perspective and aims to change your attitude towards the situation. Whenever you encounter a situation that bothers you, you must convince your brain that the consequences of the situation are not dangerous to you. If you really think that the situation is a bit dangerous for you, then convince your brain that what you are feeling is good stress and that you will overcome it because of that stress.

Physical activity: vigorous physical activity burns excess stress hormones and relieves accumulated tension in the body and brain. Regular physical activity relieves tension permanently.

Breathing exercises: Consciously slowing down and deepening your breathing (called belly breathing) will lower your heart rate and put you back in control. Breathing and meditation exercises can be very helpful over time.

The Float Method: Protecting yourself by avoiding what you're anxious about will reinforce your fears over time. The floating method focuses on really facing the problem, feeling the anxiety and letting it go first.

The real way to release anxiety is to spend more and more time with it, exposing yourself to thoughts and feelings and letting them leave or diminish over time. Using a change of attitude in engaging with your anxiety can make it easier to cope with it.
